Our Story
Hi, I’m Penny, the baker behind Bread of Life Micro Bakery. I’ve loved cooking and baking for most of my life, and in 2018 I decided to take that love a step further by attending culinary school for baking and pastry. The idea for my own small bakery began after seeing a home-based market stand while visiting family in Tennessee. I came home thinking, I could do this too.
Bread of Life Micro Bakery grew from that little seed into a way for me to share something I love with my community. Everything is made in small batches with care, from homemade breads and sweet treats to savory snack mixes and seasoning blends.
My Christian faith is an important part of my life and of this business. The name Bread of Life comes from Jesus’ words in John 6:35: “I am the bread of life.” It reminds me that this bakery is about more than simply making food. It is also about serving others, sharing what I’ve been given, and hopefully bringing a little joy to the people around me.
